We invite participants to remember together why we chose — and continue choosing — our work, and then to envision more connected futures. Current issues of theory and practice are followed by a presentation of best practices in program design, assessment, and classroom practices.
You may submit ONE proposal, however, to encourage workshop participation at the conference, participants who submit a workshop will be allowed to submit one additional proposal for a session of their choice. The authors follow their historical review of the literature by a review of research into primary, secondary, and higher education WAC teaching and learning.
Perhaps especially we want to foster curiosity about how the values of disciplinary faculty connect to the values of writing specialists and vice versa.

In a historical moment when divisiveness, rancor, and disconnection are so pervasive on the national and international stage, our theme aims to underscore the power of collaboration, integration, inclusion, and the search for common ground.
This book draws the history of the movement together with the research and programmatic savvy we have developed. Acceptance notices have been distributed, and the conference schedule will be announced in January. To say that work in education too often happens in siloes is to state the obvious.
Subsequent chapters examine the relations of WAC to Writing to Learn theory, research, and pedagogy, as well as its interactions with the Rhetoric of Science and Writing in the Disciplines movements.
